▼Why is an onsite working unit important?
Unipos has been used by more than 340 companies (as of the end of March 2020). "To involve the entire company" - this is one thing that is common among organizations successfully utilizing Unipos.
In order to make use of Unipos and advance your organization, steady continuation and patience are essential. To develop a cooperative team that manages projects together, an onsite working unit plays a significant role in spreading Unipos.
▼Who should be included in the onsite working unit?
・Those who share the project missions, purposes and goals for the introduction of Unipos.
・Those who would proactively take action in collecting information and sharing it within the organization, while cooperating with the project leads.
・Those who are passionate about improving the organization.
・Those who are connected across groups or teams (e.g. those who have multiple coworkers who joined the organization at the same time.)
・Those who are known by a lot of employees (e.g. those who have received recognition, MVP awards, etc.)
▼Patterns of how to select and appoint onsite working unit members
① Appoint members through discussion with the director of each group.
・The Unipos promotion team in your organization decides the diversity of groups to choose unit members from.
・Explain the necessity and role of the onsite working unit as well as the image of the ideal candidates to the directors. Then, each director selects a candidate(s) for the onsite working unit.
・Each director or the Unipos promotion team obtains agreement from candidates.
・The Unipos promotion team will share the overview of Unipos and background of the project with the onsite working unit members.
② Utilize documents and advertise the positions for the onsite working unit.
・Prepare documents that explain the purpose of using Unipos and an ideal state within your organization.
・The contents should be developed from the employee's perspective, not from the management's, so that the majority of onsite members can cooperate and empathize with the view.
▼The activities of the onsite working unit
・Utilize Unipos proactively
・Post messages that can serve as examples for other members.
・Obtain feedback from onsite users.
As the name suggests, the onsite working unit works more closely to the actual users than the Unipos promotion team.
In addition to promoting Unipos in accordance with your organization's purposes, the onsite working unit is expected to obtain active feedback from the users which may not reach the Unipos promotion team otherwise. This unit will work positively when operating on your projects.
