Items you can enter when you add departments
You can enter the following 2 items when you add departments.

1. Click "Add multiple departments".
2. Download a CSV template to add multiple departments.
Click "Template for adding information", choose an encoding, and click "Download".
※Encoding※
UTF-8 is recommended, and this is the default option when you download a CSV template.
If your software is not compatible with UTF-8 or you are not able to upload a file with UTF-8 encoding, please use Shift-JIS.
If you are not able to upload a file with Shift-JIS or you receive an error message, please contact Unipos customer support.
3. Delete sample data.
The second and third rows of the CSV template have sample data. Please delete this data and add information starting the second row.
4. Enter information about departments to the CSV template.
Please see below for how to fill out the CSV template when you want to hierarchize departments.
Example) Departments are hierarchized as shown below.
Each row accounts for one department. Please enter all relevant departments in the hierarchy, including parent departments.
The deeper the hierarchy becomes, the longer the rows will become. If the data entry is correct, it should be displayed in a staircase pattern like below.
If a hierarchy doesn't exist, please enter the department code under "level1Code" and the department name under "level1Name".
※Notes on entering CSV※
・You can register up to 1,000 departments, including the parent and child departments.
・You can register hierarchized departments up to 10 levels.
・You can register up to 300 entries (300 rows), including parent and child divisions, in a single CSV file.
5. Choose the file you created.
Click "Choose CSV file" and select the file you created at Step 4.
Please choose the same character encoding as the CSV template you downloaded.
(When you download a CSV template, UTF-8 is selected as the default encoding. If you downloaded a file with UTF-8, you don't need to change the encoding option here.)

・If the character encoding of the file chosen in " Choose CSV File" is different from the character encoding chosen on the screen, an error will occur.

6. Upload the file you created.
Once you have completed Step 5, you can upload a CSV file.
Click "Upload" to upload your CSV file.
7. Confirm your file has been uploaded.
Once the uploading process has started, you will see a pop-up message: "Your CSV file is being uploaded."
※If it takes over 15 minutes for upload※
An error may have occurred.
Please check your connection and re-upload your CSV file.
Once the upload has completed, you will see a notification at the bottom left-hand corner.
Click ”Confirm results".
If you see a message: "Errors have occurred", see Failed to add multiple departments simultaneously via CSV. Please amend your CSV file and re-upload the file.
