There are two ways to add/edit department
- Add/edit/delete one department at a time on Unipos.
- Add/edit/delete multiple departments simultaneously via CSV.
※Groups can be deleted on the web platform only.
※This function is available on the web platform only.
▼How to add information (a child department) one department at a time on Unipos
>Move your cursor over to the department which you want to add information to.
Click ""+"" next to the department.
Example)
If you want to add the child department ""Sales"" under the parent department ""Corporate Headquarters.""
>Enter the department name which is to be added underneath the parent department .
※A department code must be entered.
A department code serves as a key when you try to update or obtain department information.
>Click ""Add."" Then, the child department (e.g. Sales Department) will be added under the parent department(e.g. Corporate headquarters).
▼How to edit/delete information one department at a time on Unipos
>Move your cursor over to the department which you want to edit or delete.
>Click the pencil icon to edit information, and click the bin icon to delete information.
▼How to edit department information via CSV
You can use a CSV file (designated templates are available) to change information on departments which are already registered with Unipos.

>Click ""Team Admin"" in the sidebar on the left.
>Click ""Member.""
>Click ""Departments"" in the top right-hand corner.
>Click ""Update Multiple (departments with CSV).""
>Click ""CSV Template for Update Department.""
>Choose from Shift_JIS (Japanese) or UTF-8.
(※If the information contains old-style kanji characters, choose UTF-8.)
>Click ""Download.""
For example, if you want to change the department name from "Sales Department" to "Engineering Department".
※Under the department code 2000, follow the steps below.
>Click ""Choose CSV File"" to upload a CSV file.
>Choose from Shift_JIS (Japanese) or UTF-8 based on the file format.
※ You need to choose the same character code as the file format you upload.
An error will occur if they do not match.
>Click ""Add."""
>Once the updating process completes, the following message will be displayed.
・You can click ""Confirm Results"" to see the details.
>You're good to go!
>After information is successfully imported, the registered details will be reflected as shown in the picture below.
>If the updating process fails, the following message will be displayed.
・You can click ""Confirm Results"" to see the details.
・If this error occurs, please re-create a CSV file using a template, and upload it as outlined above.
