There are two ways to register departments
- Register one department at a time on Unipos.
- Register multiple departments simultaneously via CSV.
※This function is available on the web platform only.
▼Register one department at a time on Unipos.
>Click ""Team Admin"" in the sidebar on the left.
>Click ""Member"" in the top right-hand corner.
>Click ""Departments.""
>Click ""Add Department.""
>Enter the ""Department name"" and ""Department code"", then click ""Add.""
※The above two fields must be entered.
You can't register a department name without a department code.
(The maximum number of letters: ""department name""→up to 100 letters. ""department code""→up to 20 half-width alphanumeric letters.)
※See below for more information on the ""Parent department"" setting.
▼About ""Parent department""
●If you want to register a new department as a parent department.
> ""Parent department"" > ""No parent department""
>Click ""Add"", and the department will be registered as an independent parent department.
●If you want to register a new department as a child department.
Example)
""Corporate Headquarters"" is the parent group and you want to add ""Sales department"" as a child department.
→""Parent department""
> Click ""Add Department""
> Choose a parent department (Corporate Headquarters in this example).
>Click ""Add.""
A child department (Sales Department) will be registered under a parent department(Corporate Headquarters) as shown in the picture below.
* You can also add items of department information (child department) one by one.

▼Register multiple departments simultaneously via CSV.
>Click ""Team Admin"" in the sidebar on the left.
>Click ""Member"" in the top right-hand corner.
>Click ""Departments.""
>Click ""Add Multiple (departments with CSV).""
>Click ""CSV Template for Adding Department.""
>Choose from Shift_JIS (Japanese) or UTF-8.
※If the information contains old-style kanji characters, choose UTF-8.
>Click ""Download.""
You can download a CSV template to add departments (see below).
Enter department names and department codes, and save as a CSV file.
<How to use a CSV template>
level1Code (department code), level1Name (department name) → the parent department
level2Code (department code), level2Name (department name) → the child department 1
level3Code (department code), level3Name (department name) → the child department 2....
You can register hierarchized departments up to 10 levels.
For example, if you want to register hierarchized departments as follows:
・Sales Division (department code 1000) > Sales Department (department code 2000) > Sales Team I (department code 2100)
・Sales Division (department code 1000) > Sales Department (department code 2000) > Sales Team II (department code 2200)
・Sales Division (department code 1000) > Engineering Department (department code 3000)
you can enter each department as shown in the picture below.
>Click ""Choose CSV File"" to upload a CSV file.
>Choose from Shift_JIS (Japanese) or UTF-8 based on the file format.
※ You need to choose the same character code as the file format you upload.
An error will occur if they do not match.
>Click ""Add."""
>Once the registration process completes, a message will be displayed in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen - ""CSV file has been successfully processed.""
・You can click ""Confirm Results"" to see the details.
>You're good to go!
>After information is successfully imported, the registered details will be reflected as shown in the picture below.
>If the registration process fails, the following message will be displayed.
・You can click ""Confirm Results"" to see the details.
・If this error occurs, please re-create a CSV file using a template, and upload it as outlined above.
